Alloy Ingots

Alloy ingot

As one of India's leading manufacturers of aluminium alloy ingots, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality products that meet the stringent demands of industries worldwide. Our aluminium ingots are made from a blend of high-grade processed scrap and primary aluminium, ensuring consistent quality year after year. Our commitment to environmental responsibility is reflected in our use of state-of-the-art pollution control equipment during the manufacturing process.

Aluminium alloy ingots are vital for the production of components across various industries, including automotive, electrical, power, construction, defense, and more. In the automotive sector, these ingots are essential for producing lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicles. Aluminium components, such as engine blocks, wheels, body panels, and suspension parts, contribute significantly to reducing vehicle weight, which in turn enhances fuel efficiency and lowers emissions.

Aluminium Alloy Grades:

We offer a diverse range of aluminium alloy grades to cater to different industry needs:

AC-4B
ALSI-7MG
ALIS-10MG
AC-4C (A356)
ADC-12
LM-6

Production Capacity and Commitment to Growth:

Our current annual production capacity for aluminium alloy ingots is between 4000–5000 metric tons, with plans to increase this to an impressive 18,000 metric tons within the next year. We take pride in our efficient manufacturing facilities, which allow us to melt 30 metric tons per day for our own production needs.

Raw Material Procurement:

To maintain the high standards of our products, we procure aluminium scrap in the following categories:

  • Wire
  • TT (Taint Tabour)/Tough Taboo
  • Primary Aluminium Ingots
  • Sections (6063, 6061, 6082)

We ensure a minimum monthly procurement of 1,600 metric tons, equating to an annual procurement of 20,000 metric tons.

Manufacturing Process:

1

Melting

Aluminum scrap and primary ingots are initially melted in a furnace at high temperatures, turning them into molten aluminum.

2

Alloying

Specific alloying elements are carefully added to the molten aluminum to achieve the desired properties, such as strength, corrosion resistance, and formability.

3

Casting

The molten aluminum is then poured into molds to form ingots. These ingots are cooled and solidified, taking the shape of the molds.

4

Quality Control

Each batch of ingots undergoes stringent quality checks to ensure consistency in properties. Key factors such as chemical composition, grain structure, and physical properties are closely monitored to meet high industry standards.

We employ various technologies throughout our manufacturing process that aid in reducing fuel costs and improving recovery from scrap and dross generated during the melting process.Every heat is checked intensely for not only its chemical composition but also for its grain size, dross content and gas content. These technologies include:

  • Regenerative burners
  • De-coaters
  • Metal circulation furnaces

We ensure a minimum monthly procurement of 1,600 metric tons, equating to an annual procurement of 20,000 metric tons.

Testing Equipments

  • German-made Spectro Analytical Instrument (SPECTROMAX) for automated and precise monitoring to check composition of materials like Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Magnesium (Mg), Silicon (Si), Zinc (Zn), Titanium (Ti), Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu), and Aluminium (Al)Thermocouple for temperature control and measurement.
  • K Moulds for oxide and slag checking.
  • RPT Density index meter.
  • Nitrogen flux feeder
  • Conductivity Meter.

We ensure a minimum monthly procurement of 1,600 metric tons, equating to an annual procurement of 20,000 metric tons.

Applications of Aluminum Alloy Ingots:

  • Automotive Industry:
Aluminum alloys are crucial for manufacturing lightweight, fuel-efficient vehicle components. Common applications include engine blocks, wheels, body panels, and suspension parts. These components help reduce vehicle weight, improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions.
  • Electrical Industry:
Aluminum alloys are used to manufacture cables, electrical conductors, and connectors, offering excellent electrical conductivity and durability.
  • Construction:
Aluminum alloys are commonly used in building materials such as windows, doors, and structural components due to their strength, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance.
  • Aerospace and Defense:
Aluminum alloys are essential in the aerospace and defense industries for producing parts that require high strength combined with low weight. These alloys are used in aircraft, spacecraft, and military equipment.

Advantages of Aluminum Alloys

01
Lightweight

Aluminum alloys are significantly lighter than steel, making them ideal for applications where weight reduction is essential, such as in automotive and aerospace industries.

02
Durability

These alloys exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions, ensuring long-lasting performance.

03
Recyclability

Aluminum is 100% recyclable without losing its properties, which helps conserve natural resources. The recycling process requires less energy compared to producing primary aluminum from bauxite ore, making aluminum alloys a more sustainable option.

Environmental Impact:

Modern aluminum alloy ingot manufacturers prioritize sustainability by incorporating advanced pollution control technologies into their processes. Efforts include optimizing production efficiency to reduce energy consumption and minimize waste. Recycling aluminum scrap plays a critical role in reducing the environmental footprint by significantly lowering energy requirements when compared to the extraction of primary aluminum from bauxite ore.

A Future-Oriented Approach:

We are steadfast in our mission to advance our production capabilities and expand our presence in the global aluminium ingot market. Through continuous innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence, we strive to meet the evolving needs of our customers and contribute to a more sustainable future.

With over 25 years of experience in the scrap trading industry and a successful two-decade journey in the aluminum manufacturing sector.
